This assignment is dedicated to that under-appreciated element, Hydrogen. It’s the most common element in the universe, and constantly gets pushed around by oxygen, carbon, and all the other elements that would like to “borrow” an electron for a while. But you are able to read this (and lament the challenge of a homework assignment) because of hydrogen, or more specifically the energy production it enables.

Your task is to create a cartoon / picture story, digital or print that describes the adventure of Henry Hydrogen as he takes a journey from being part of a water molecule in a cloud, to being incorporated into a glucose molecule, transferred to the muscle cell of some animal, and ultimately becoming part of a water molecule in a cloud again.

To create your story I suggest some of the following tools:

1) Good old colored pencils and paper.
2) If you have a mac you can use Comic Life (free), or Garageband or iMovie to create a video podcast using web images or video of simple “puppets”.
3) If you have a PC (my sympathies) you can use Comic Life (free), moviemaker to do something similar or download Photostory (free).
4) You can also try the following web based comic creators to work online:
Creaza
ToonDo
Comiqs
Kerpoof
GoAnimate
